Type of marketing but where to find?

I have seen it on many webpages and it is a great way to market. When you sign up they ask if you would like to add your friends and it does it by going through the persons e-mail list and emails out to all the people. Where can I find something that does this?

You can use a script to get ppl opt-in for you emails.

 

You can just search for "Tell a Friend" script at Google or at hotscripts.com and choose one, that suits your needs, than put it on the first page people see when they subscribe to your list. also don't forget to give them some incentive for taking their time to spread the word out.

There are even scripts that can "scan" your messenger accounts such as AIM, Yahoo, Skype, etc... and compare to their database if the user is already subscribed. If not, it can send them an "invite" email. Pretty slick huh!

 

Can you get in trouble for spamming with something like that, though? Seems risky...
