I have heard about copy issues , I know that the content should be unique it should not be copied, But tell me if I have a mirror site that is the same website in different extension. for example if i have xyz.com and I'm now adding a mirror site called xyz.net. Will that violate the google guidelines of copied content. Please answer my question after giving a deep thought about the scenario.
One will show in serps, one will get filtered out. You don't get to choose which is which. If you want both tlds, put a 301 redirect from the one you don't favour to the one you do
There's no reason to have a mirror site with the same content. Having multiple domains for one site is fine. If you're buying ***.net just to claim it, 301 redirecting to the .com is the best option.
Park on top with 301 to the main site. Other than that if you have really good RSS plugin you can separate them but that doubles your link building efforts. Depends on how much work you are intending to invest into your project. Cheers, Venetsian.
the first one indexed will get be viewed as the legit one. The second site will get filtered. Once the first site goes down the second site will be considered legit.
Put an appropriate 301 or 302 redirect from one website to the other. Because with the current setup, it will look like duplicate content because the same content exists on both websites. If you leave it as it is, one of the sites will get indexed and one will get moved to supplemental results or dropped.
i think your same domain name but different is only .com and .net so its not matter bcz google understand and i have 2 same website and i got good result on my main website
There's no reason to have a mirror site with the same content. if is your site same content then Google penalize your site. So you use robot.text in one site and 301 redirecting is the best option.
I agree Traffic-Bug There is good option for Put an appropriate 301 or 302 redirect from one website to the other. Thanks for useful updates
Well, it's nice that the seven people posting after me agreed me with so much they basically just repeated me - but, don't put a 302 redirect. It's not temporary, that would be a stupid thing to do. It should be a permanent 301
