Two very simple hosting questions

First I would like to know if the hostgators BABY package can host various sites?

Secound does anyone know of an affordable hosting solution for hosting a few sites on the same package?

Currently I looking to create about 10 very small sites, mostly using small scripts and wanted to have them hosted on the same account.

Yes you can host various websites using that package that HostGator offers, well Add-on domains, but if you redirect them to a folder then the primary domain page won't show up...not sure if you knew that but just thought I should tell you just in case...

www.DreamHost.com <--- Really good host. I can give you a coupon that you only pay $30USD for a full year.(Package: Crazy
    Domain Insane!)

Well that's exactly what I thought... From reading their hosting page it leaves the impression that you can host multiple sites on one account, I guess that's not true at all.

Wait...dreamhost is a GREAT host...Everything is done within 15minutes, great support team, everything!

Emperor: If you get a reseller, then you can do that, without any problems.

See with DreamHost all you will need to do is click on Create Site and boom that's it.

Well I wasn't really interested in getting a reseller account because these sites are really small and don't generate a lot of money. I would end up paying $$ to host a few sites that in the end could be deleted anyway.

yes, hostgator offer baby plan with unlimited website add-on but there are some problem on the host if you are using more than allowable running resources up to 25 if you exceed that limit your sites will all be down.

And about dreamhost......I am shaking my head.....no..no..no

So are you saying that you can add up to 25 domains to an account? Or we can have 25 redirected to the account?

You can host as many sites as you want with the baby plan but the 25 running resources that are allowed in one account is mean programs that run up their spaces will get all your sites offline.

Just one simple answer, they too oversold the server.

I know perfectly well that these plans are a bit exaggerated in terms of bandwidth and storage space. But since the sites that I'm going to create are so small I thought they wouldn't really care.

Do you know how to add more domains to the account?

Most companies normally offer 999 or unlimited add-on domains; so adding on domains or have more sites hosted wouldn't be a problem.

What you're failing to realize, is that although these large plans may not apply to you, because you don't need that much.. what about other users that are sharing the server with you.?

No doubt many will try to use the full allotment of resources and thus increase the chances of crashing the server... which WILL affect you.
