"............ In a question-and-answer session Friday with a crowd of several hundred young professionals at the European Parliament, Clinton was asked about U.S.-Russian relations. She emphasized her hope for improved ties, but also noted that disagreements are inevitable. She cited, for example Washington's condemnation of Moscow's decision last August to invade neighboring Georgia. "We also are very troubled by using energy as a tool of intimidation," she added, alluding to a Russian cutoff of natural gas supplies to Ukraine over the winter. .........." http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090306/ap_on_re_eu/eu_clinton_russia This kind of politics will only proof that no Russian will ever fully trust US. Answers: 1. Russia invaded Georgia "After the War Criminal Saakashvili killed over 1,500 Russian, and more than 15 peacekeepers withouth war declaration or warning". Supporting and aiding the war criminal Saakashvili does not do any good to Obama and US. It just shows that no matter who is in charge in US they cannot have honest and fair relations with Russia and may be with many other countries as well. 2. Russia cut off the supply of gas to Ukrain, AFTER THEY FAILED TO PAY FOR IT AND STARTED STEALING THE GAS WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO GO TO EUROPE. With putting all the blame on Russia the US admin shows one clear policy against Russia. "Russia must be painted as the bad "guy" every time there is an opportunity to do so". Why? It is all about $$$$$. If Russia has a bad name that will have a reflection on her business relations with other countries. .....
That's quite something, never recall it being in any news . Is it real? Quite an embarrassment. I must say she didn't do a great job in China either, more like seeming to beg for more money from the Chinese. Sad, when she took over, I did thought that with her experiences, she would be perfect for the job. IMHO, all of Obama's cabinet have some flaws or the other......
It is embarrassing, but for the idiot who put it together, and the nation as a while. You guys don't really think Hillary is charged with putting that together or spell-checking the Russian? Of course not, some idiot State Dept. employee fucked it up. It made both Clinton and the US look foolish, no doubt, but it is just nonsense to blame Clinton or think that she should have done anything different. It hardly matters, the Russians are no friend to the US, and both sides just pretend to play nice. Russia under Putin's thumb is never going to be friendly to the US. They will beg us for help when their petro dollars dry up or they are faced with serious terrorism from their Muslim extremists.
