Our site http://OneFamilysBlog.com received two StumbleUpon surges (about 100 hits in a couple of hours each time) last Saturday afternoon and early on Sunday. Anybody know the reason why this might happen? - other than this surge, we have not got many StumbleUpon hits... Thanks for your help in advance! Regards, http://OneFamilysBlog.com
That's kind of how StumbleUpon works. If one person discovered your site, stumbled it, and then a few more did the same, you'd get that sudden surge of traffic.
Let me see whether I understood this right. Just because one person stumbled my site, there is some incentive for others to stumble as well, thereby creating a surge. Is this correct? Regards, One Family's Blog
I would agree. Someone has seen your site, took an interest in it and then stumbled it. Others were not quite as interested so the hits lowly decreased and then practically stopped. That's my conclusion anyway.
I agree the surge is most likely from a diamond effect. One stumbles and a 100 more people done the same. I had this happen where I had 1000 stumbles on a particular day...
Thank you for the replies - I learned a little more on how StumbleUpon works! Regards, OneFamilysBlog
