Two Sites - Can’t get Adsense Approval

Looking for some advice and will keep it as short as I can. I’ve got two websites, both about 1.5 years old. I’m struggling to get either accepted with Adsense.

I’ve had websites when I was a teenager and had no trouble getting them approved to pay for themselves. Both have required pages (TOS, privacy policy, about, contact).

    Website 1
Self hosted blog. Very Niche home business topic which I’m passionate about and have years of experience. Site now at 42 articles with average length over 1,000 words. Informational blog with advice, mistakes and how-to’s based on my experiences, all written by myself. Site refused 3x for low value content which I just can’t understand.

    Website 2
Self hosted Wordpress where each blog post is literally just a free image for download. 300 posts so far but posts contain limited text other than keywords as the content appeal is the free image. This site was rejected for low value content.

I can (sort of) understand the 300 post website being refused as there’s little text and the majority of the site is images, but that’s the whole point of the site. (Is this kind of model not really compatible with Adsense approval?)

But I just can’t get my head around why my information blog would be refused when I’ve spent hours and hours writing and editing, spending time on it; formatting articles, tweaking the site, improving SEO. I’m a bit gutted after all this work I can’t even get it to contribute towards its own hosting.

My alternatives are Monetag or Adsterra but I’d rather use Adsense because the ad placement and formatting feels less ‘spammy’ on the user experience.

    Any advice to get accepted?

What is the URL of website 1?

Yes, for website 2, being a download site, then that woulds right.

For your self-hosted blog, consider enhancing your content's depth and engagement, maybe adding more visuals or personal anecdotes to enrich the user experience. You might want to supplement the image-based site with more informative text to provide context around the image tutorials or tips on using them. Also, revisit Google’s guidelines to ensure you're meeting their quality standards.
