Two similar URLs for a single site.

If I have two similar domain names for a site, say, mysite.com and mywebsite.com and were to use both URLs to direct visitors to a single site, would the searchengine folks be OK with that?

I mean this would not really be the case of a landing page, as both URLs would direct visitors to the same site.

So to clarify, let us say that the main site is called MyWebSite.com with the home page showing a logo for MyWebSite.com.

Then, if I also own the domain MySite.com, I would also like to promote that domain and have any visitor clicking on it to be directed to the main site, MyWebSite.com.

Would the searchengines be happy with that?

    Thank you for your time.

hi, i use the methot you explained, but only one domain name gets the PR and robots from search engines. The other domains are "parked": vr46.ro , vipmoto.ro both are going to motovip.ro . I submit only the last domain in directories.

"I submit only the last domain in directories."

Yes but even though you submit only one of the domains to directories/searchengines, since the other domain is live on the web, it would obviously be picked up by the bots over time and then you would have two live domains pointing to the same site.

I hope some one on the forum can enlighten us, as to if the above would be problem with the searchengines.
