Two Quick Questions About Domain Selling

Hi, I have two quick questions:

    (1) When you get a domain you have to wait 60 days to transfer to another registrar, so is it considered bad etiquette to sell that domain since the transfer would occur within the same registrar? Any better suggestions if there are workarounds to this would be appreciated.

    (2) What is the safest way to sell a domain name that will go pretty cheap, so it isn't worth using an escrow that has a $50 minimum.

    Thanks Guys!

It's not bad etiquette to sell within the first 60 days but you should mention that you will push the domain only and not transfer it. This is the common way to do things anyways.

If you don't want to deal with escrow you can try using moneybookers instead of paypal because it has no chargebacks. It would also help to deal with people with an established online identity and itrader if possible.

I just read in another thread that paypal masspay doesnt allow chargebacks so that could work, I dont really know much about it.

    For answer your second question,
i usually take nothing precaution for transfer a general domain deal (like $XX),
it's built up on trust for the two parties.

If the domain isn't worth very much, I think depending on itraders in forums alone is enough. If you really want to be safe, Dreamerr has mentioned the best methods for you to follow.

If your domain is regged at popular registrars like Godaddy and Namecheap, the domain push won't be a problem as most people already have accounts in these places. I've sold lots of domains within the 60-day period.
