Two questions on BANS

Discussion in 'Commission Junction' started by vitalbusiness, Mar 8, 2008.

    1. Is $97 (US) a reasonable price for BANS?
    2. Is it really easy to get it up and running as some ads claim it to be?

I do have a decent experience in web design and I have been running 4 websites of my own. But never BANS.

(I have both US, UK & Canada ebay ads active on CJ, but I've not used them yet.)

I haven't purchased BANS myself, but purchased a customized version for about 2.5 times the cost of BANS. And I'm happy with it, probably because I made up the cost in my first month commissions. It seems everyone with BANS or related sites are making money. On that note, it's probably worth it.

    1. Yes
    2. Yes. There are some absolute idiots using BANS :)

Even if you're a complete failure with BANS, you should easily get your $97 and invested time back. BANS isn't the only options though, you can write your own eBay script (with a parser and some php), there's also phpBay Pro, and a few others.

Well, the price is what it is regardless of what opinions may be held as to it's reasonableness. I believe demand is such that the price will not be reduced in the foreseeable future. I think the question should be evaluated in terms of whether it will make sense from the standpoint of your objectives.

If you're serious about making a business out of affiliate marketing, then BANS is certainly well worth it, IMO. If you're more of a part timer or hobbyist, then it might not make sense. In my case, I make a business out of internet marketing. For me the purchase has been a very good business decision.

$97 for BANS is a reasonable price. There are tons of people using BANS. The one good thing about the price, is that it keeps everyone and their grandma from using the software.

If you use it, then it is worth more than $97.

If you buy it and leave it in the hard disk then chase for the next big thing, then $97 is too much to ask for.

    BANS is worth it.

Of course, it is not a money machine and just like any other site you need to set it up, customise it and promote it. BANS just makes this a bit easier.

I set up my first BANS site in about 45 minutes and did minimal promotion. I got a custom header designed so it does not look like every other BANS site and it performs better than I expected to tell the truth.

Now that the latest version is out it is even easier and better than it was before.

BANS is worth it if you're willing to put the time into making your sites great, unlike many who expect to install it, let it sit there forever and hope it will make money on its own :)

Build a Niche Store(BANS) For $97 its worth. Easy to install script. Simple mechanism. You can make a lot more than 97$ if the website is probmoted well. Its all on the promotion and the niche you select.

Don't get caught up in the BANS frenzy, you still need to promote your BANS site like any other.
