Hi all, I have used Simple Machines forum in the past and really like it. I haven't experimented with putting adsense on it, but I assume it is possible. The first forum I created is a very low paying niche and I'm not necessarily even interested in adding adsense to that one. However, I am starting a new forum which happens to be on a very high paying niche and I do plan to add adsense to it once I get a good amount of members. So, onto my first question. 1) What free forum script do you all recommend with good Adsense integration? My 2nd question is regarding the front end of the forum discussed above. I would like to have a front-end, like Joomla or Wordpress, or something that is really quick and easy to edit, with one difference, I want to allow members of the sites to add Articles (which I have to approve first). This is not going to be an article site like Ezine or anything like that, I just want to give members an opportunity to share the opinion on different issues etc., while allowing my site to naturally grow over time. What would be the best way to handle this? Thank you in advance. Chris B
You don't need a special script to add Adsense to the template - just insert your adsense code and it should run fine. As for a front-end - use any you like. Simply ensure it's installed in a different folder - ie, at root - while forums in a subfolder, ie, "forums" to work best. This is precisely what I use at Platinax: http://www.platinax.co.uk The front end is all Wordpress, but the forums are all vbulletin. Only point is, you would need different logins for both, unless you did a really good database hack, and were prepared for the complications it could raise.
