I've got a few ideas for added site/link exposure for my users, but before getting started I had 2 questions that have been bouncing around in my head for a few days: 1) Domain name importance I've seen some directories whose names I couldn't even pronounce. I wonder how important a domain name is for a directory? I can brand mine to make it a bit more relevant, but wanted to double check. My thoughts so far are 'not so important' if the branding is good. 2) Going General or Going Niche I've been thinking more and more about this as several folks seem to be recommending niche. How do you choose a niche or at least gauge its popularity? Could anyone name a few niches off the top of their head? I think going niche would be a bit more congruent with my branding, but I imagine that you might be closing your income stream a bit by not taking in other links? Appreciate any feedback, there's so much to learn about directories..
I personally think domain name should be directory related.All depends on you normally General Directory makes more money then Niche Directory but shopping directories does make alot of money too Saad
