Two pages in same domain getting same rank?

    Awesome program, Shawn. Just found it, and started using it.

    I put in a page within my site for a keyword and the program ranked it correctly.

    I put my index page (which is not optimized for this keyword) in for the same keyword, and the ranking came up the same as the page within my site.

    My index page does not even come up in the results for this keyword in google.

    Just curious why, any ideas?

    What is the keyword and URL you entered into the keyword tracker, and what rank do you think it should be at when you look in Google manually?

    Example:
    I put in "used epilight" into the ranker for www.skincarepro.com/ad_pages/epilight.htm and it came up as #1, which is correct.

    This is the page i'm optimizing for "used epilight".

    However, when I put in "used epilight" for just www.skincarepro.com, it comes up as #1 too. But my index page comes up nowhere in the results for this.

    Is the program designed this way? Am I supposed to test just using the root domain name, or the actualt page that is optimized for a particular keyword?

    Yeah, it's by design... it's a pattern match, not an exact match (check #16 in the FAQ for a little info).
