Does anyone know what criteria Google uses to show two pages from the same domain in a SERP? I've noticed that the homepage is usually the first and primary page, with a secondary page directly below and indented a bit. This might have been answered elsewhere, but I couldn't find anything in a search. Thanks!
If you have two pages from the same domain on the same page of results (1-10 for the first page), Google will consolidate the lower ranking one so it's right after the highest ranking one.
Hmm, makes sense. I've noticed instances where a single listing with no "sublisting" indicated will occasionally have another page listing on page two of the serp. Does Google do this consistently with first page rankings? I'm trying to deconstruct some SEO decisions in a serp, and I'm wondering if some of my competition is specifically counting on Google to treat pages in this manner.
this usually hapens after you have changed a page. it will show the changed page as the indented result with the homepage as the natural result
Page freshness seems to keep coming up. Are there any tools out there to enter a URL and see the last date modified?
