OH no!! AC will be asking why you aren't on the Anti MS bandwagon - you traitor!! You should see a shrink! - That's right you are one. LOL Firefox sure is gaining, last time I looked at that part of my stats I was a little shocked at the percentage of users.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x with all vendor patches installed and all vendor workarounds applied, is currently affected by one or more Secunia advisories rated Highly critical http://secunia.com/product/11/ And you can believe there is alot more people out there who would find it easier and would rather exploit the IE loop holes than the Firefox ones.
Thanks Minnie. Very interesting shtuff. Tbh, I didn't even know what Firefox was until recently. And I actually, embarassingly enough thought that Mozilla was just a relative of Godzilla.
All browsers have vunrabilities, just choose the one you like instead of going on about it every other day minstrel
zak, stop being such a tiresome loser. I'm posting this to alert people -- there's no need to turn it into another MS versus Firefox thread. Microsoft has an update service to warn people -- Firefox doesn't. Since I have both friends and family members using Firefox and since I also use it for checking page modifications, I keep an eye out for warnings and thought others would appreciate a warning. If you'd rather stick your head in the sand and not know, why don't you just put me on ignore? That way you won't be bothered.
I just downloaded the latest version of Firefox and it is almost like a new OS there is so much to learn, I seen also that they have a "Check for updates" feature now.
That's a good forward step, AC. But of course IE has always had that feature and most people don't use it until they know there's a compelling need to.
No-one else seems to be so worried except you, you can keep patchin your browser but there will be another security issue next week. And for some reason, you love promoting IE, but we all know its crap.
