I've heard that multi-tasking really doesn't increase your productivity. Instead, you spread yourself too thin in more than one area.

Maybe having more than one monitor is worth checking into.

Two monitor concept is fine by me but if both are connected to the same CPU, how is it possible to get them to display two different windows on each of them?

I experimented with this idea but since both the screen displayed the same thing(being parallel), I had to just shelve the plan! :(

Two monitors are nice, but I think tests have also been conducted that persons with larger screens are also more productive. I myself have a 26" LCD

Can you kindly shed more light on how this task is accomplished or at least guide me to your reliable source....please!

I seriously wish to connect two monitors on a single pc and wish to observe two different programs running simultaneously....instead of having to always flip between two windows on a single monitor.

Anybody else, who is enlightened on this one....please do share!

    Regards,

Using two monitors is quite simple. First you need two mintors, second you need two open ports on your video card, whether it be DVI, VGA, HDMI (also make sure you have the right connections for your monitor, if not adapters are cheap to come by).

Go into Windows display properties (assuming your using windows), click on the second monitor (2) and click the box that says extend the desktop onto this monitor.

There are plenty of tutorials and such out there, but that's basically how it works.

Not really sure how they come up with the numbers but in actual fact, I've seen such system and used it before. And yes... it does help to speed up things.
