I'm gonna launch some sites as fast as I bought domains and a host. I'm planning on making a site with two large rectangles beside each other at the top of the site, but under the header, so you will have to scroll down to see the actual content. But I'm scared of getting banned from adsense for this, and that would be a disaster. On the other hand I would get alot of clicks. Is this something you can get banned for? Because the first impression you would get when looking at the website would be that it's spammed with google ads... But I haven't found anything in their TOS saying anything about this. EDIT: Example: http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/7011/examplemh8.jpg
If ur sites content is good i dont see where it would be a problem as long as its not looking misleading like part of navigation or what ever.. but as far as i unerstand the tos simply having to ads like that in its self is not improper at all.
I don't think there's any issue on getting banned based on the placement which you have suggested. However, if I were you, maybe I'll remove the skyscraper and inserted in between blog post located at the middle because the current one looks to have all 3 ad units grouped together closely.
Thanks for the fast answers! I'll write "Advertisements" over them just to be sure I'm safe. And lycos, I took your advise.
