I heard about wisenut a couple of years ago, if my memory serves me right, but not about iLor.com, which redirects to www.prefound.com

At first glance, profound looks like a not serious search engine, but something was brought to my attention: an ABC News logo in the footer.

There were a TV note about this search engine: http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=2174741

prefound must be new as its using swickis as their search engine which is a new service offered that lets anyone put a search engine on their site that you can customize to make look like your own and search the way you want it to. You can have certain website appear over other ones, etc, etc

It is a very nice feature for a site but for just a search engine in general I don't think its that great as its gonna be biased as to what the owner has put in for sites to appear first.

Yeah, heard of wisenut but not the other one. Wisenut is being used by some metacrawlers as well. There was a .co.uk one I came across a few months back that used it and a few other engines that weren't that well known.

Know Wisenut, not a big fan.

Isn't the other one just a swicki?

I love swickis, but beceaue its a swicki, its a bit dishonest to call www.iLor.com a search engine.

Swickis are great though, you can share your engine with friends, put it on your blog/site.

    Example: http://www.exdeus.com
