I get only PSA's on my index page(the other pages are ok), and I tried every possible way to get rid of them, but no way..When I first emailed Google about it, they said: I replied to their email, asking more questions on this issue, and this time I received the following answer: I didn't know that linking to adult content sites would result in PSA's? Now, I do have some links to adult sites, but they're not in majority. Except these links, I don't have any adult content on my site. Besides, my links are in the form of link.php?id=8971 etc. so they don't contain any possible stopwords that might be mentioned in the target URL. I also searched the page for any possible stopwords, but couldn't find any. The two emails point to two different reasons for the PSA's. I am confused.
Linking to adult Content would alway result in dispalying PSAs. tip for adsense: cut the word "adult" from your dictionary
Here's a list of keywords that leads you to PSAs. Check this list against your current site content. Remove as many occurances as possible. http://www.kbcafe.com/adwords/?guid=20050929081147
I don't have any possible stop words on my index page(the other pages get relevant ads.), but still PSA's. My site is a link directory, I display the most visited links on the index page, and some of these sites have adult content. I have seen many directories who have links to adult oriented sites and still serve relevant ads. I also did serve normal ads on my main page before I changed my site templates(there still were adult links).
Is it the site in your sig? if it is then sorry dude cant help you coz i am not familar with the language so cant tell you what is the exact problem. Sorry!!
Thanks anyway, I think the first e-mail from G explains the real reason. I believe this is somehow caused by the new template I've been using.
Have you looked at your site from a different ISP? I was getting aggrivated because I got a lot of PSAs/no ads on one of my sites then I went away to visit family and was using a total different ISP and for the week I was there I always saw ads. I wonder if google has added something new that prevents people from seeing there own ads? I don't get the psa 100% of the time but I do get them a lot.
2 things... First, what livingwithadd just wrote is very true in my experience. Second, I can't recall what it is called, but Google recently added that script you can use to have adsense target certain areas of a page's content, while specifying other areas to ignore. Damn... what's that called? Site Targeting or something... [Sleep. Need sleep.]
Section targeting. Yes, I've tried that, but no change. Livingwithadd; I didn't try another ISP, but I can see ads on the other pages of the site. The problem only occurs on the index page. I have thousands of visitors everyday and nice earnings, but none of the clicks come from the main page channel. This also proves that none of the visitors see ads on this page. I had used a different template before. The problem occured after changing the template to the current one. Odd. IamNed; the site is a link directory. It naturally has many links about different subjects on the main page. Category pages are ok, but I can't focus on a specific subject on the main page, to make it "content-rich".
Never had any probs (PSA's) with Casino, Las Vegas, Medication and Pharmacy. Anybody else? Sorry, I cant quote your link as I havent reached 10 posts yet ...
It's weird, I'm also having problems with that, but thought it might be because I had a post about arson on my one blog. I tried to make it a-r-s-o-n, but I'll have to see what happens. Can anyone see any reason why I'm not getting ads shown? It's on my Cape Town blog. Seckin, your site has died...
MtraX, I see that although you are getting no ads on your index page today, that article's permalink page does show ads. Perhaps removing Arson helped. I think that such a short article containing the words Arson, Kill, Death and Punishment all together probably added up to something no advertiser would want to be associated with. Your main page may need to wait until a few days after that story drops off the front page to see ads on that page again. You may want to temporarily change the number of articles shown on the index page. Also, try rewriting the article to contain more instances of "Capetown" and / or "mountain" to re-skew the keyord weight in the article.
Heres what I would do seckin : Remove the number of links you have on the front page to around 5. That is A LOT of content you have there, which is all on very different subjects, the google bot has no idea what your site is about so there like "ok, here ya go a nice PSA for you". Second : where you have "Toplam 24 kategoride, 554 üye tarafından eklenen 836 domaine, 1141546 ziyaretçi gönderdik. Son domain 01/02/2006 tarihinde eklendi. " -- although I dont know what that means, I would throw add about 3-5 paragraphs of unique content, explaining and talking about your site -- using keywords to trigger some relevant ads, the kind you are looking for on the main page right before you have that phrase, enough to fill up around 3/4 of the screen, like I said the more the merrier. lastly : if that alone doesn't fix the problem in 3-4 days, you could try A) enlarging the new paragraphs and B) throwing some of these around the paragraphs : <!-- google_ad_section_start --> Code (markup): <!-- google_ad_section_end --> Code (markup):
D'oh! Yes, Worldwid is spot on, I should've mentioned section targeting as well. Count that as 2 recommendations for that!
The sub pages always had ads, weird, and yes, also on the arson article page, so not sure that's it, anyway, just hope it gets solved soon Regards MtraX
