Hello, I currently have a website with a domain that has been live for a year, the url being cityAdentalclinic.com . Thing dental clinic is going to be moved to a nearby town, and I was wondering if buying a new domain cityBdentalclinic.com would help at all? Of course once visitors click on a Google Adwords Ad or a SERP for cityBdentalclinic.com they will be eventually be redirected to the original site, but would having two domains help for city identification purposes, specially when it comes to advertising? What about building backlinks to both? Please note that city B is just 10 minutes away from city B. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot!
Sure, it may not be a bad idea, but only if you can get enough unique content on the "City B" web site for it to truly stand alone. Once that site gets indexed and develops its own page rank/back links, it would be worth linking to the original City A web site.
if both domain hosted on same IP, the backlink will not work, since Alexa just count 1 backlink from same IP even you have thousand. Just copy the cityA website and host on cityB, its easy
