Google panda update is ignoring to same code and same content it is possible that you are promoting one website then block another website with robots or no index meta tags.

Google only will look over the primary domain of your website and the domain that you point to the primary domain is just taking the advantages.
It do have win win situation which they might share the same PR and generate traffic from each domain .

Redirection is about sending search engine and user to a different URL rather than requested one. There are three types of url redirection these are; 301, 302 and meta refresh the last one is not considered as SEO technique. 301 redirect has much importance that SE considers it as the site is changing its location to a permanent address.

Yes, it will harm your performance in search engines. So it would be fruitful to put 301 redirection to keep your website safe and get more visibility.

    Thanks,

You can use 301 Re-direct. Apply 301 re-direct to one URL to second URL. In this way you will not get plenty from Google.
