Heres the situation Im in.. I have a computer repair business and its built on a wordpress site, so what I did was use an alternative domain name to do a mock-up of the site until I had the content ready for launch. Then I launched the content on the main site, but what happened was the first site got ranked already. under the keywords i want of X X X computer repair XXX being my city/town name. So my main site with the good domain name "Xcomputerrepair.com" is not ranked. But my mock up site "randomURL.com" shows up on Google. Aye.. What a mess.. So what I did was password protected the main dir of randomURL.com so that google spider cant crawl it anymore.. but still, no change. i also deleted the entire directory and uninstalled wordpress via Cpanel. What strategies can I do to make my main site listed? Do I have to change the content? Ive been putting blog posts up so that it has new content. Did I make a boo boo by launching my site on a temp domain first?
