two domain for one site

    I wouldn't really recommend it. Don't try to use the same content on different sites also

    I think this is what he want to do, It seem that getting 2 domain just a waste of money and time since the other one will be park I can't see any SEO explanation for that.

    If you have 2 urls for one domain then all the links and link juice for your domain will be split in half.

    You can have multiple domain names going to the same site via a 'redirect' as many have said here.
    Which means, you have one site with all the content, the other domain, if someone types it in, is automatically redirected to the main site.
    The only reasons that come to mind for getting the other domains is if one is complicated or long tail and you want something easier to tell people or to post.

    If you are buying a separate domain in order to rank for that specific keyword, I recommend putting up new content on the new domain targeted to that keyword.
