Two different marketing strategies for different countries?

    Hello,

we are running an online B2B store, started from German now for one year.
Most of our traffic and turnover was just generated by emails that we sent to a very targeted and selected audience.

Now, we set up an English version as well and wanted to start sales in English as well. Starting from a mailing list that is very targeted as well brought 0 orders.
Now we use different channels like FB page, FB private account, classified ads, a few forum links, some directory links.
Unfortunately, there is almost no traffic on the English version and way worse: No orders.
In Germany it worked totally different.
How can I deal with that issue?
What would be the best way to go and why exactly is Germany so different from English speaking countries?

    Thank you in advance
    Bye, Chris

people in different countries have different mindset. keywords are also different in some cases form country to country. what people in US or Canada search for, German people may not use the same search term to search for the same thing. its not just language issue where if you convert form German to English, the outcome turns out to be different that expected. its also a cultural issue where different way of presenting things appeal to different people. you just have to understand the mindset of people in English speaking countries in order to market your product there.

What's the page? It may be an issue with missing key words, no credibility in this specific B2B market or the english speaking market is more mature and developed than the German market. (i.e. a product that is established in the US could be harder to market through direct mailing whereas if you were the first ones to have it in Germany it could be easier to get orders.

I'd agree that the markets could be totally different for the product or service you're selling. The demand could be higher in Germany or it just needs to be marketed differently in the US. I'd be interested as well to see what you're offering.
