    Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell me please what's the difference between the blogging and social bookmarking and how to start a blog?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Blogging is 'web logging' and takes the form of a reverse-chronological journal.
Social bookmarking is sharing bookmarks e.g. http://del.icio.us
The line starts to blur when your blog's 'blog roll' becomes social bookmarking :)

Start a blog with either http://www.blogger.com or http://www.wordpress.org

If you're really serious about blogging then consider getting a domain name and hosting for your blog.

Blogging is creating a blog and posting your personal ideas or journal while social bookmarking is sharing your favorite site or blogs.

You can social-bookmark the posts from your blog that you think will be universally interesting for everyone and at any time.

A blog generally offers more room for self-expression than social bookmarking. Social bookmarks are a list of sites you like, with some comments about why you like them - but usually comments aren't more than a couple sentences. But with a blog you can go on for as long as you like about whatever you like. There are ways to combine the two - for instance, like fennimore said you can bookmark your blog posts. And some social bookmarks let you generate an RSS feed of all your bookmarks, which you could display on your blog if you wanted.
