Two analytics codes on one website

    Hi,

Maybe this has been asked before but I couldn't find it.

Is it possible to put 2 Google Analytics codes on 1 website? I would like to be able to track a friend's website for SEO purposes but I'd like him to be able to use his analytics code and I would use my code from my Google account.

    Thanks

I've never done that but surely it's best just to use one code and share the analytics data.

Why does it matter who's code you use as long as you can both see the stats?

Perhaps you would be better operating a google MCC (My Client Centre) Account
You can then apply the Analytics code to each website, then monitor them
Your client can then login to their account and see the results from their website
All you need to ask your client to do is approve the request to access their account, they receive from google, unless you already have their account details

I think it will work but the idea is useless. Just use the same code and share the traffic data.

I have a site with two lots of analytics code on it. Doesn't work at all. We put one in the header and the other using the analytics icon on Cpanel. The header one works fine, the second one gets no results at all.

I don't think so. You are required one url for one Google Analytics Code.

It good by Analytics data sharing point of view, if you want to share your Analytics data than you can do it or You can give read access without putting any 2nd Analytics code on your web-page.
