    As digitalx has commented there are plenty of articles out there, but you could try youlikehits.com or twiends.com as mentioned. Personally, I would try and interact much more with your following in combination to try and interact a little more.

    Well there's stuff like TweetAdder, but I would search around on Twitter for people who are in your niche and follow them, and follow back anyone who follows you.

    I use a combination of the above tactics - learned them all from searching on google. I use TweetAdder and loaded it with about 100 tweets that autotweet throughout the day, then searched my niche in the software to autofollow people who share common interest therefore getting targeted followers. My one account has about 6500 followers in just a few months. I have also used Twiends for other accounts that I did not need targeted followers for as well which I like their service if I'm in need of untargeted followers. So I would definately recommend both.
