TwitterRemote - Why?

    I see there are lots of websites that have Twitter Remote on their sidebar.

    What's the point of it? Does it bring any extra traffic to the blog? As I see it, doesn't it just leak traffic to other users that are on Twitter?

    Wouldn't it be better just to have a nice Twitter icon linked to your profile or is this just about "community"

    Do you have an example sith with it on? If it's a case of showing who's tweeting about your article, it's benefit will be encouraging other people to tweet about your article so that they see their face on the page.

    It could be negative in terms of making people navigate away, but hopefully it will encourage more overall traffic from people following those who tweet about it
