I have decided that I would like to sell my website twitterbackgrounds.ca. I created this website with all intentions of promoting it and using it to get to Page 1 on Google for "twitter backgrounds" but have a huge project coming up middle of October and will not be able to keep up w/ this one.

As for the website itself, take a look and I am sure you will fall in love w/ it. I had a blast creating this one and it speaks to any twitter lover who wants to make their mark on their twitter background. The design is 100% unique (as are all of my designs) and will never be sold or used again.

The domain name is good to an extent but what is all that mish mash of whatever at the top???

It detracts from the message to say the least.

How are you determining such a high value to the site? Any revenue or traffic?

 

Sem-Advance: The mish mash at the top is part of the design. I'd say it totally adds to the message that the website is trying to say. The website is about creative, unique designs for twitter backgrounds. Do you want a website that is like every other twitter background website out there, or one that obviously stands out above the rest, one that will be remembered. I do however know that the design is a little funky but for the niche that this website is trying to attract, I believe it completes the goal. If it's not your taste, it's not your taste.

I don't believe $850 is an incredibly high value at all. This website took a long time to build, design and code. The domain name factors into the evaluation as well as it is an incredible keyword domain name. The domain name twitterbackgrounds.com sold for $5,000 on Sitepoint a while back.

There is a lot of money to be made in this niche and a website that stands out above the rest will not only help with branding it but with making a solid revenue from it as well.

I just also want to mention that I did create this website for myself in the beginning, I have developed numerous successful Twitter websites such as MyTweetSpace.com and TwitterScripts.net and have had a lot of success with them. I know the niche and I wasn't developing this website with the intention of flipping it for a quick buck.

The name is good, but you can pick up similar on other domains currently.

I think the value is a little high given the age and maturity of the site.
