Hello guys, where do you believe is best for someone to put an effort in developing an account/fan page/channel? Twitter, youtube or facebook? Thanks!
all three can be very helpful to you. That is what I would suggest to you to work on all 3 thats what I do and thats the best way to reach more and more people.
None of those social networks has anything to do with the other so there is no comparison point. One is micro-blogging, the other is networking tool and the last is video sharing
Actually, I think you just need to look at it a bit differently. It's not as much a case of "Versus" as it is a case of "And". Moreover, Facebook is not really an option here. Because Twitter, Blogs and now Google Buzz can be integrated and synced with Facebook, it's transcended being an option, and is more an integral aspect of your online presence than anything else. Facebook is the both the glue that holds your online persona (lent presence by your other social media accounts) together, and yet at the same time, provides a varnish over the whole thing, synchronizing and glossing your accounts and presence together to give your entire presence online a smooth, glossy feel. Facebook is a must-have. You can't do much in social media without it. As for Twitter, it is not as versatile as Facebook and more limited in its scope of activities. Nor does it have the widespread applicability that Facebook has - one of the key features that has allowed Facebook to integrate itself with multiple other social media platforms, and making it an indispensable and augmenting component of said social media platforms. But what Twitter lacks in malleability, it makes up in its ability to provide a more "grassroots" level of interaction with other Twitterati, and allows you move more closely to interacting on a more personal level than on Facebook. While the scope of each individual's actions is less compared to Facebook, Twitter's true strength lies in its platform's greater connectivity and cohesiveness. Each tweet on Twitter has the ability to exact a greater level of change than any single action on Facebook. This is because its relative linearity gives it the ability to harness the small contributions of each Tweeter and aggregate them, creating a whole new collective social force. That's why Twitter is more useful a tool for promoting social justice than Facebook is, because the scope of its usability is more restricted and linear than Facebook, which allows its users to focus all their energies into honing it to greater level of effectiveness. As for Youtube, I haven't used it much myself, but unless you actually have visually appealing content that you want to upload and share on a regular basis, it might not be useful to you. So to answer your question, try all three, but then pick and choose which ones are best suited to serving your interests, if you need to, and also don't be afraid of looking beyond just these three social media platforms. There are tons more out there, and chances are you're limiting the scope of your activities by simply focusing on these three platforms. I believe some other threads in this forum also provide lists of social media platforms that you can check out. Hope this helps. Cheers, PG @PrashGopalan (Twitter), Lateral Thinking
Best method is to use all 3 at once. For twitter I recommend viral retweets, for youtube, I recommend putting "subscribe" button at the end of the video, and for fb, I recommend getting people to invite friends and fb ads. Hope this helps out.
Can you give me the subject matter? When you say fan page/channel are you talking about having a place where you broadcast TV and or a Show? Something like that?
Facebook first just to maintain a group and keep engaged with key users. Autopublish content to twitter often in order to find new users and to maintain current ones. If you blog, I personally recommend tumblr because it will publish info directly to Facebook and Twitter and it's super easy to blog - and it has a pretty engaged audience to build your base. Youtube is also good if you have stuff to showcase. Building a following on youtube can be hard though if you're not creating quality content. It will depend on what your product or service boils down too.
If you can do all.. much better... but if you only choose one.. it depends on you content and your target audience.
Hallo! And why not to use these social media sites all together? To my mind Twitter is the main channel of online promotion of a website, but it would be useful to employ Facebook and Youtube also.
three would be best. but i prefer to use youtube since videos can attract more. plus youtube has more users than the two.
Mystique is absolutely right , you can't compare social networks with different bases , both facebook and twitter can gain targeted audience with some effort , but youtube is not efficient as the 2 giants i guess , just guessing
I have played around with Twitter and i am a Facebook addict. Twitter in my opinion is a marketing tool. Facebook is a social network. You cannot compare the 2
twitter - micro blogging youtube - videos and video blogging facebook - social networking All three of them appeal to different types of audiences. Its not a matter of which one is "best", but which one fits your needs the best.
I think Twitter, Facebook and YouTube have their own mass, just try to build which one that you really enjoy to build.
Youtube is for video marketing. It is an ideal media to promote these kind of products: 1. Beauty products such as makeup, skincare, hair care 2. Lessons in the form of tutorials. 3. showcasing travel and vacation Destination sites With twitter, I find it is easy to grow my followers automatically. Twitter is good platform if you are providing a service that is time sensitive such as forex, stock prices, current news. Your follows will want to follow you to keep track of the latest trends. Facebook is excellent for business networking and building relationships.
All of the three are different social networks. So, it depends what community you want to enter, if it is micro-blogging, go for Twitter, if it is video sharing, go for youtube, if it is freindship building, go for facebook.
