Twitter vs FaceBook

facebook has instant updates as well
but the sites aren't anywhere near each other, it's like comparing myspace and photobucket IMO

 

Twitter is very simple.. easy to use whereas facebook is complicated.. twitter is gonna lead the way out in no time..!!

 

They both suck imo. I forced myself to signup an account on those stupid sites and I still do not see the appeal. I have no idea why those sites are hyped on TV and online every single hour, they offer nothing new.

 

As many said,both of them are good on their own.So better use both of them

Yeah spam should be blocked on twitter else very difficult to beat facebook.

 

Never tried doing anything regarding monetization of Facebook - but Twitter is definitely not monetized easily. You get traffic but no monetization to speak of. Maybe some niches have it better, I had no luck so far.

 

twitter is great. I use facebook for personal social site and twitter for my business. I find twitter easy than face book.

 

both sites has a different concept and usability...for a good package, use facebook..

 

Twitter and facebook are two different things, both in concept as well as practicability
The strong point of facebook is its privacy feature, people love it for its privacy
While on the other hand twitter largely offers a 'open access to all' system

Remember what happened with myspace?
In the start it was a huge huge hit! But later on people migrated to more privacy endrosed social networking portals. Twitter is great for celebrities and they are addicted to it. 'Instant gratification' i too would like to repeat, These celebrities wont have a problem in continuing their tweets as long as their account doesn't get compromised and as long as celebrities continue tweeting, twitter will keep on attracting more followers.

For me, I,ve recieve more spam mail in Facebook. I like to monetizing Twitter with ads.

 

I guess you have joined too much groups there
I always disabled some mail notifications related to groups or fan pages.

 

Twitter is like FB's status update which is Twitter's main service. Two different purpose/category if you'll ask me.

Twitter maybe can compare with others like Plurk, however Twitter is still more simple.

 

What came 1st plurk or twitter? I'm curious what marketing did twitter do that made them so popular..

 

Twitter first in August 2006, then Plurk in 2007.

i think twitter is the fastest and most popular website now a days, and in coming time, i am sure twitter is going to give great challenge to GOOGLE in terms of traffic.
