twitter url... doesn't this give me link juice? or is it a waste of time?

I have a plug in on my website, that posts to twitter ever time I write a new post on my site. Great thinks I... link juice!

However, on looking at what is being posted to twitter, I'm getting something like this...

    blah blaah blah @ http://ur.ly/lM3a

The link does go to my site... but is it any good in terms of juice? No, right? And, so, how can I chance it?

The plugin is called socialize... does anyone use it?

I prefer bit.ly for a URL shortener because it will track the number of times somebody clicks on that link... I don't think you are going to get any link juice from twitter anyway so you may as well get some stats from it...

Nope, doesn't help with link juice, right click on the link and in some browsers(ex. chrome) you can go to inspect element and find out that twitter uses nofollow everywhere.

Those links however are counted while evaluating popularity of your website in twitter.

Websites like Websitegrader.com consider them, try yourself.

Same as above. Bit.ly is the best. Twitter is not about building links.

There no link juice in twitter backlinks, but there's a lot of people who like to click links. That's why I use twitter to get traffic. Also, I use twitter to index pages of my websites.

There is no link juice from twitter even you post the full link because of external links are nofollow. Don't think of building links from Twitter.
