Twitter Tips

I use Twitter to drive traffic to my blog. I do because I feel that getting quick hits and people might actually be interested in what I have to say. Twitter is a great source for networking and gaining traffic.

But there are a few things to remember when using Twitter.

1. Don't be a Spammer. Mix your ads up with regular tweets.
2. Only tweet your site once about every 10 regular tweets to prevent the spammer label.
3. Tweet jokes and other types of tweets.
4. Dont be afraid to ask for a Re-Tweet. If you dont ask your not going to get what you want.'
5. Re-Tweet other posts to get yours re-tweeted its great to network with other marketers to learn their tactitcs. Remember marketing is a never ending learning process.

I seem to work in reverse. My blog drives traffic to my Twitter account.

Pro tip though: Don't be selling shit with your tweets. It's lame.

This is true. If your tweeting crap, then the followers you get will be crap. So, just go out and tweet anything. Let the world know what your doing and you will be successful. This quote has gotten me to where I am today

Most of the quality twitter users per say are the ones that HARDLY ever use twitter as an advertising tool but rather a networking tool.

This is a good post. I also suggest posting Trending Topics in your tweets, you'll definitely get more attention (speaking off Non-Spam posts, that is).
