Twitter Search Marketing

    Has anyone tried using the twitter search engine to look for prospects to sell products to?
    ive heard of people using it and i tried it a little bit myself but i havent had any luck. has it worked for anyone else?

    Yes, I've tried it. It is definitely not the fastest way to gain prospective customers but once you get the hang of it, it is pretty painless to search - the key is making sure you search on the right keywords (try to be more specific rather than broad).

    I am very interested to see how this turns out . I think a real time search is going to give marketers and bloggers a new edge they could not achieve with Google.

    Did you mean this website: http://search.twitter.com/ ?
    I just tried a few searches on this website and got mostly tweets about people selling things. The question is: how can I find potential buyers for my products and services? Do people tweet requests for services and products? if so then how would I find them using this website?
