Can we create subdomains like twitter.mysite.com ?
If we can then tell me if there is anything else i should take care of to avoid problems.
If i should not tell me some other ways to let the visitors to easily know that the subdomain is similar to what twitter does before they see that subdomain.
    Thanks :)

I think it's OK.But subdomain will not be remembered easily. You'd better spend more time on the top-level domain.

Hmm but the very purpose of creating that twitter like subdomain is to increase exposure of my main domain :p
Lets see how it works. :)

It will be fine unless you do something against Twitter's Terms of Service :)

So what are you using this subdomain for? Is it for your own twitter-like project? Or does it actually involve twitter?

As I read you post, you are trying to get traffic for your site which competes with twitter by offering something similar. If that is the case, this use of Twitter in a subdomain is probably not legal and most likely would be considered an attempt to use the word twitter to create consumer confusion.

I would certainly advise against using the domain if I correctly understand what you are proposing.

That counts as fair use of the trademarked term twitter because you are not providing a twitter-like competing service by mis using the term twitter.
