EasyTweets is a Twitter management tool that allows you to schedule tweets in advance, manager several accounts and track your followers chronologically. Unlike many of its rivals, EasyTweets is based in the cloud. It’s not a desktop application. Being based in the cloud has its advantages and its pitfalls. The deciding factor in which outweights the other can be determined by asking yourself what you want from a Twitter app? Are you a casual user who simply needs an account to manage Tweeting a little easier? Or are you a power user who relies on heavy automation to spread a wide net of social networking coverage? If you’re that power user, EasyTweets can still benefit you – but it isn’t quite at the stage where it can take the chores out of your daily marketing. For example, it doesn’t have the power to search and automate the process in quite the same way as some of our other featured products. EasyTweets reminds us of the early Blogger platform. It looks semi-inspired by the clean easy-to-navigate interface with a couple of tabs – one for publishing tweets and one for controlling your settings. You can use a neat dropdown to flick between your Twitter accounts. Adding new accounts and editing them is a breeze of a process. The EasyTweets interface is nicer to use than any desktop app that we’ve seen from the Twitter marketing tool selection. The great advantage of being based in the cloud (hosted online) is that EasyTweets is there for you to access whenever you need it. Using a different computer? Travelling without your laptop? It’s no problem. Just login to your online account and you’re good to go. We can see desktop apps slowly being forced out by this cloud transition so we’re definitely in favour of the EasyTweets approach. It simply needs to work in the full functionality of a desktop app to become a tremendously powerful marketing solution. EasyTweets takes another feather from the Blogger cap by allowing you to schedule tweets to be published at a set time in the future. This is done very nicely, as with most jobs that EasyTweets pulls off. You can pre-program the app to feed updates in to your Twitter accounts whenever you want. This is a cool feature if you happen to be going away for the weekend and want to keep some public exposure to whatever it is that you’re promoting. The guy behind EasyTweets, Alexander Barbara, has already stated his plans to integrate the full tweet timeline for friends – and this is the only glaring absentee from EasyTweets as things stand. Until the timeline is integrated, EasyTweets isn’t quite ready to replace the desktop software on the market. But we can see all of that changing over the next six months. Click here to visit the EasyTweets website. Verdict: While not quite as powerful as the desktop based Twitter apps – EasyTweets is convenient and flexible to compensate. The next update may just make it the software-to-have on the market.
I signed up for the FREE version before I saw this post (the link is hidden/located near the bottom of the home page) It is a nice program and it does run on their server - so that part is nice. It's also got a nice dashboard and is very easy to use. It does include most everything you want it to do . It is a good one to check out and try out!
Just go get hummingbird -- I use online tools for most aspects of my tweeting. I love twitterfeed.com
