Take a look at this twitter: http://twitter.com/tweetusers Every search engine hits(Google, MSN, Yahoo, etc..) is posted with the URL of the page found. As we do not go for links but more visitors only, the link is converted by bit.ly URL shortener. I just read an article about tweeting a short url that converts to regular url. It seems to do two great things, traffic (which is always good), and create backlinks.
This is something really informative. I will be used these steps for the promotion of the websites over the search engines!
That looks really interesting and i have noted it and soon I will go to try it and share my experience with you all.
How am i meant to download the file? I went to that url and there is no link, nada - I went to cpalead but i cant just randomly sign in and answer a survey!!!!!
Every search engine hits(Google, MSN, Yahoo, etc..) is posted with the URL of the page found. As we do not go for links but more visitors only, the link is converted by bit.ly URL shortener. People are searching Twitter all day long. Example: Your site gets a search engine hit - cheapest notebook online USA - Your site got this hit as most probably the site has to do something with 'cheapest', 'notebook', 'online' and 'USA'. The script immediately post this keyword to Twitter with the right link. Now imagine a Twitter user searching for - Dell notebook USA - This script in action: http://twitter.com/tweetusers
I don't get it the twitter user you posted only had 15 followers is your script generating pages, and then those pages get crawled?
LEt me see if i get this right. After uploading your script to my website, every user refered from a search engine triggers a tweet with the keywords he used and the url he landed (url is shortened in tweet) Is this right?
Sorry, There are no surveys available to your country at this time. Please try back later Could you provide an alternate link via PM please CPALead is not ofeering any surveys for me
is it legal to use this type to scripts to get more traffic for our site ... i think so some will catch this and some action will be taken friends its risky yo use scripts
Sorry boss, still don't get it... I looked at the Twitter user you linked. What are those pages when I click on any of the bit.ly links?
I unfortunately couldn't get anything going with this, but a lot of people are mentioning how it could get you banned from Twitter. Personally I don't think it's worth the risk in order to run something like this on your site where you could have your Twitter account banned
You have not mentioned the gain of doing this and is the gain is really more considering you have to risk your profile.
Right. Why spam? The site got a search engine hit so you site has to do something about that keyword. You only show a relevant page to Twitter users. Spam would be an page witch it not relevant to it's title. I am not running this script on my main Twitter account. Actually i have never received any complain on this account. I see no risk as this is why the Twitter API is designed. The best thing about this script in the free traffic. I get about 50-100 unique visitors not only from Twitter but other related websites working with Twitter data. 50-100 unique visitors are not much, but I have to do nothing for it. The script will be available only the next couple of days only as I plan to use the domain for something else.
