Hi, Recently I have been spending time with twitter and getting familiar with it for our sites. Has anyone had success using this as a marketing tool?
I agree with fracekm, its a yes/no answer. I have had some luck with a facebook profile/ad I created a year ago that has brought in some traffic.
I have almost doubled my traffic with twitter in the last month. My advice: You gotta dive in head first, you can't just put a toe or two in. I had zero success with twitter until I gave it my all, posted at least 10-15 useful tweets per day, every day for the last month. I get followers like crazy, and people are hitting my site and filling my inbox. It is a good marketing opportunity, but you have to give people something valuable. You have to make it worth people's time to follow you, because you are just a grain of sand on there. It takes a LOT to break through the clutter.
Hey, Ive also had some success with twitter, and to be honest i found it relatively easy to set up and maintain, its a great tool for free traffic that can also be targeted
I think you do have to dive right in and get things moving eg the 10 - 15 tweets a day is what it will take to get followers
i have set up a twitter account and i have lots of emails saying people are following me everyday, but then when i go on my twitter account- they have erased me :-(
it is an ok marketing tool, legitimate users love to click on stuff, but there are a LOT of fake users as well.
I know a number of people who are doing well with Twitter. But, I think it depends also on your business. It won't work for everyone. Do you have the kind of prospects/clients that use Twitter. You probably won't know till you test it for your specific niche.
Twitter has absolutely transformed my approach to internet marketing. I'm getting insane amounts of traffic and now have found the tools I need to target that traffic and automate the whole mess. It's beautiful. Getting several thousand Clickbank hops per day now...just working on converting more......
Automated twitter can rack in a bunch of cash. It's the easyness of it when you compare it to FB or MS that makes it a valuable tool. 1 to 1 FB or MS are much better... but the automation options you get with Twitter are endless. Give it a go.
Twitter is good if you know how to use it properly....some people get insane number of clicks from twitter.
If you can get your twitter followers above 5k it is usually good to get decent traffic to a website or blog post.
