I don't think Twitter is a good place to start our online marketing strategy.
You see, most users of Twitter have few followers there, so, for these people, it may be a tough task to attract big traffic. If you want to make your strategy work well, you must try to take some measures to find many people who are interested in your service or products.

    Hi,

It all depends. What you need to do is put your site link in the bio and have a professional looking page.

Tweet about your services and start to follow people who have products that might work well with what you are promoting.

I would only follow the serious ones and in doing that you are hoping that their followers start to folllow you.

well twitter has very many applications that you can use to help you connect with like minded people. in the beginning start with giving tweets and follow your relevant lists. Follow your desired audience so that they can follow you too and get your updates. Retweet their stuff and share your stuff with them. Hopefully this way you will do a good job.

I'm not exactly an expert - but thought I'd share my twitter experience to date. I only launched my site about 4 weeks ago, however last year when I was in the process of building the site I started a twitter account and followed some other twitter users that were relevant to my site. I didn't go mad following loads of people straight away, but every week just added another dozen or so.

I'm now at almost 1500 followers and do get traffic and contributions to the site from my twitter page. I don't think it can hurt to have a twitter page for your site, and if you steadily keep building your followers then you will find that your traffic will increase. I would also point out that when tweeting it's nice to not to always be adding marketing info, try and intersperse it with more human interactions!

Hope that helps - and good luck!

Twitter is a great EXTRA traffic stream and interaction venue.

But trying to make money from Twitter directly is a bad idea...... it's extremely inefficient!

There are far easier and better ways to make money online!
