Twitter is Dofollow.. Will you Shocked? Here is the Proof.

It's nofollow.. but what the OP is saying is that Google may still give you a backlink for it.

 

If it says nofollow, it is nofollow. You won't get PR juice from it.

 

It has to be a nofollow or I think we all would have found this out a long time ago.

 

No, backlinks themselves are not what helps your SERPS. It's PageRank (one of many factors) that helps your SERPS. PR is what Google uses to quantify all of your backlinks together into one number. PR is part of Google's algorithm to determine your SERP placement. That's what PR is for in the first place.

The title attribute is currently ignored by Google.

 

Thank for your replay. Anyway, I've seen websites in top10 placed higher than websites with bigger PR (for certain keywords). How do you explain that?

 

Because PR is not the only factor. It's a big factor, but it's part of a very complex algorithmic with many other factors. On page optimization, for example, is also big factor. Relevancy is a huge factor.

For example, on a low volume serp, you might see a page that is heavily optimized specifically for that SERP, wiht content that is directly related to the keyphrase, with a low PR outrank a page that isn't specifically optimized for that SERP, that only casually mentions the keyphrsae, with a very high PR.

Twitter is NF. I tested it yesterday -my seo for firefox is highlighting the links - therefore, saying that it is NF

 

Its getting indexed and showing in webmaster tool as back-link, therefore its being treated by google as a back-links. But you can use it to generate traffic to your desired websites.

 

I think there is a mistake. All links at Twitter are nofollow.

 

Double check your information. I am saying by my own experience and findings.

As for my concern twitter is nofollow. But really confused with screenshot. why google webmaster tools shows twitter backlinks? Does google considers twitter links as backlinks?

It has been this way since the begining =) The link in profile page is do-follow, and the others in tweets and stuff are no-f, from what I know

webmaster tools shows all backlinks, it doesn't matter if they have the nofollow attribute attached or not
