Wow, that sounds like a lot of explaining!

When a client mentions wanting dofollow links why not just nod your head in silent understanding, and then go on to create non nofollow links? That might save a little time.

And when 1 out of 10 customers come back and say "Hey, my links don't say dofollow on them!" you can wave your hand like Ben Kenobi and say "You don't need to see the words dofollow... all links without nofollow are automatically followed. You can go about your business... Move along..."

Well, I do like that you balance article writing with ATV riding. I haven't gone ATV riding yet, but it sure looks like a lot of fun.

There is nothing shocking here. I am instead shocked that you put 'ed' in your shock when you shouldn't.

Phew! I don't understand why such a conversation popped up on this thread. I know that there is no "dofollow" thingy like "nofollow".

And I am sure that anyone who knows what "nofollow" is, will certainly have an idea what is meant by "dofollow". Sometimes you need to use the opposite of something to talk about a non-existent thing.

The lesson I got from this thread is:
    Twitter is nofollow,
nofollow links can be seen in webmaster tools,
nofollow links do not help your SERPs,
there are no "dofollow" links, they need to be called "links without a rel=nofollow attribute".

    :)

Lol I wish it were that easy....I really do!!!!!

It is a blast!!!!!!! If you want you can drop in an I'll let you ride one. BUT, it can be a challenge too.....trails, streams, some wild animals here and there.....

It will definitely clear the mind of anything else someone might be thinking too hard about

    @ademmeda

We could just call them links and nofollow links......

They were links for a decade before Google decided it didn't like how things were done.
    :)

doesn't really matter, external links from twitter are redirects. so no link juice or any seo benefits.

    Hello admin,

You are moved this thread from Google to Link development.
What i am discussing in this thread which is related to Google webmaster tools results. Still I think Google Section is the best and suitable category for this thread.

ust because it's labeled as a backlink, doens't mean that it passes any linkjuice.

Do-follow or not, I think twitter is crap. I have never seen traffic even after tweeting 100 messages and having 600++ followers, and I still fail to understand why.

I've gotten some pretty good traffic from twitter. The trick is to follow as many people in the same niche as you as possible, then use a service like 'tweetlater' that allows you to send an automated direct response to anyone that follows you.

For example, I have about 300 followers on twitter, that all are interested in SEO.
    http://twitter.com/AdhocAds

When I tweet, I tweet about a post in my SEO blog, and I usually get about 20-30 unique hits from it, all from a very targeted audience. I've even ended up with a few backlinks from my tweets about my blogposts.

In all, there are worse ways to spend my time.

I felt the same way about twitter, until I discover twitterfeeds and added my forum feed to it. So every time someone posts, it's tweeted (I hate saying tweeted). Now I get 10-20 new forum members a day, plus about 10 new followers a day. So it has it's uses.

    The next question is this:

Let's say I don't care about link juice (you maybe mean PR juice), but can I use a nofollow link to increase my google SERP for some keywords? Or this is just part of the link juice and they are followed just for the sake of being followed...

    And one more topic:

How useful is the title attribute for an A tag? Is it important to have it or what matters is only the link text? If it matters, does it have to be the same as the link text or different? Which one is more important?

    Thanks.
