    heyyyyyyyyyyy,

We all used twitter. I have few question about twitter. Is twitter useful for SEO. How much? Can we earn organic traffic by Twitter?

While my tweets sometimes appear in G top10 result page - I have never seen any surge in traffic at all. But from my OTHER social network sites such as facebook, hi5, myspace, etc I see real traffic and in some cases much more than secondary SE like Y, ding, AOL, etc.
I belief that twitter is abused as backlink farming was abused and one day G will figure that out and dump twitter results or make them less important just like PR is less important or backlinks loose importance
Most twitterers follow only the rule: You follow me = I follow you
and that leads to purely artificial follower numbers

I don't see it as being a major tool with SEO. I usually just update users when the site is up/down on my Twitter account.

Yeah, of course twitter will be useful to your seo. But you should have good amount of followers. More the active followers you have, you will get more traffic to your site :)

Twitter probably isn't going to lead to much SEO value, aside from your actual Twitter page itself. And this is only if you sign up with your website's name in the URL (ie. http://twitter.com/bloggerden)

As for the actual tweets, I have never gotten any SEO value or anything from them, or even the URL field on my profile page. I get clicks and interested visitors from tweeters following me or checking out my page, but Google doesn't follow links from Twitter and therefore doesn't show much value for SEO.

The great thing about twitter is if you have an active account you'll get your feed pulled in on other sites. There are several twitter stats sites that will auto pull your feed once you've been to them, friendfeed is another great example.
It just produces more and more links, the more you tweet and get retweeted.

I think there is more hype about twitter. I think there are much better marketing tools than twitter.
