Twitter? How is Twitter working for you so far?

Do you think Twitter.com will bring you real traffic? Is Twitter better then Search Engines?

 

Just depends. You really have to spend time building a solid network that has the same interest with you. It can be more effective if than ranking high in the SERPs.

 

Real? What's real? Are you talking about cavalcades of non-stop B.S. do nothing traffic? No. Twitter will bring you what you target it for in small increments. It all counts. Does that answer your question? You can see mine if you don't think I have a clue.

 

not so much twitter but more like reddit and digg - twitter has too many spammers and people trying to do the same thing your doing unless you strictly have a twitter account where its only CLIENTS based on your niche.

I heard that's what works the best but for traffic, i mean yeah you will get clicks here and there but according to my Google analytics reports, i do multiple split tests with twitter and it seems more of a fast bounce out of the sites no matter what my content is about and how well the benefits are delivered.

I guess i am not a big Twitter fan it may work differently for others... My Recommendation, TEST, TEST and TEST. and as for Search Engine's.

I only believe in Google and Yahoo. It beats twitter because when someone is "SEARCHING" aka "LOOKING" for something, they immediately respond to a SEARCH ENGINE to give them the results to what they are 'LOOKING' for

 

twitter is not bringing me the traffic I would like to have. I usually keep it just to keep in touch with people in my niche. Sometimes I promote a product with a link in twitter, cause I know it will get indexed by google now and will give me a backlink.

 

Twitter can only bring in targeted traffic if you have the targeted followers who have the time and the interest to read through your posts. Many of them are only interested in increasing their subscriber counts, to follow people and get followed back, simply in increasing the numbers so it becomes difficult for them to read your message which might get lost in the tons of tweet messages that they are exposed to daily.

 

Twitter will not be your end all of traffic but every bit counts. I have had tweets rank on google and got some extra traffic and have made a few bucks on twitter as well. The key is to build up your followers targeted to your site.

 

Yes, it does brings traffic if you have got all the followers genuinely.
Otherwise the ones done with tools don't care much for your tweets.
