I feel the same way, but I guess you gotta say it works, cause it has worked for people. I'm just beginning to try it out.

 

I have heard a lot about people getting success from twitter . Few may be just bragging but not everybody is bragging about it.I think I will give it a try .

yes it works... there's a plugin for wordpress that posts a link to your latest blog post. Good way to leverage on traffic from twitter.

What the hell? why are people asking about PROOF?! LMAO hit twitter and start your social engeneering to get many followers then post your links.. you need PROOF for this? LOL

 

What kind of proof do you want? Do you want me to post a snapshot of Google Analytics or Awstats? Anybody can waltz in here with a photoshopped picture of either ones of those and post it on here just like people do with those huge Adsense checks. So as far as I'm concerned posting a picture of anything is useless, because then people will just be calling me a liar.

I'm just saying that it worked for me, doesn't mean it will work for you, but it never hurts to try.

 

Yeah Twitter can be a great way to drive additional traffic, begin following people within your chosen niche and build a rapport with your "list".

I tried twitter for a week. got some nice traffic to my blog. nothing special is done for this purpose, all you need to do is just communicate with people enjoy it

 

It will benefit you until you start abusing it.

you get involved, people find you and your posts funny or interesting...whatever... they want to know more about you... they go to your twitter home page...click your personal link...

I think it depends on what kind of site you have. For my site, I did get traffic from twitter, but they stayed less than 50 seconds while my average is 7 minutes for other visitors, and they are usually 1 time visitors. Every time I go add people, my traffic increase, the next day they are gone, so I stopped using twitter and focus on SEO.

 

I understand that Twitter is free marketing, but I have to be honest, besides a backlink, I have not found the value in that particular social network yet. Facebook has been an extremely valuable tool as a networking and marketing tool, and being able to market toward fans on our company page. Twitter seems hard to navigate and seems just like a posting tool. I will definitely try that follow approach that you described, that might work. I will hang in there with Twitter and see if it can help increase traffic and partnerships. thanks.

 

Not a fan of twitter I don't really get it and I do digital marketing for a living. We still use it for clients but in my opinion it is one of those trends that will bust here in about a year max. I may be wrong but I just don't see too many uses for this and they cannot monetize it and can't live on VC money forever.

I've joined Twitter a few months back but didn't really start using it until now. It's really great, gets me a few odd 30-50 hits a day.

 

I never got good response from twitter. I get good hits from digg, 800-1000 unique visitors a day.
