Some say it's blackhat and spamming, eg. when you mass follow people for a given keyword, to promote CPA offers etc.., But you can use Twitter for marketing in very legit way, for example: http://blog.hubspot.com/blog/tabid/6307/bid/4034/How-to-Use-Twitter-for-Marketing-PR.aspx . What are your opinions/thoughts?
Yes, there are many spamming accounts on Twitter, but if your account is directly related to products/services you provide I see no problem. What's the point of your post anyway?
Twitter is not really useful when you run a few sites with tons of followers. It starts to become more useful when you run tons of Twitter accounts with 100-200 followers each. With these you can shoot your ReTweet's through the roof on your blog posts, thus *hopefully* hitting the front page on Tweetmeme and bringing in more Twitter's and traffic.
When i was new on twitter earlier I got lots of traffic but now twitter is becoming spamming tool youw ont expect much from it
It gets really irritating to see hundreds of tweets coming from the same person every day...when does twitter consider a tweet as spam? Does the person tweeting have to change the message a tad in order for it not to be spam? I think twitter is a spammer's paradise for sure.
I use Twitter to advertise the odd product on my sites, its good to get PPC or EPC, i do it legit buy only posting to Twitter every other day.
Start following only 50/day and send real tweets every day around 5 tweets daily to appear as a real person not a spam account, and then start to promote 2 spon ads per day only If you follow this method, your account won`t be deleted
I still can´t get any decent traffic from Twitter compared to the fact that it also takes time to create good content to your posts.
I never got any mentionable traffic from twitter... So now I think of it as a tool to get new content on my web properties indexed faster - sort of a pinging tool Did any of you use it this way?
Its not just about a numbers game but also you should have real people following you. I have over 30K followers and I did it easily without using much software help. If you use software, then its bots that follow you to which you cannot sell anything in future or make money from them in anyway.
I have a few accounts setup that post feeds to targeted users like this but I've found I get more out of twitter when I interact with the users. I've picked up several jobs, I don't push affiliate marketing much so IDK about that.
