I posted a previous thread although my situation has changed since then. I got my account unsuspended. I have about 4k followers and am following about 2800. I'm trying to get my account going again. I took a few other members suggestions and bought followers off fiver and now my account says I have 22k. My question now is what strategy should I use to build my follower base and not get the account suspended again? I know posting good quality tweets and content is key but that hasn't helped me gain a substantial amount of followers. What do you guys suggest? Thanks
Theres no fast way to it if you don't have other twitter accounts. Build slowly, a lot of those accounts you see with 500k-1.5 million followers are actually shitty because 60% of the followers are bots. Grow your account slowly with real followers and reap the benefits later on.
I agree. Slower is better, and less is more. I know Twitter gets suspicious if you let your follower base grow too fast.
I suggest you to not buy twitter followers anymore.. From 22k you maybe have 50 followers who actually ''follow'' you... So practically, there is no some good strategy..
CMadelt, the key to a successful presence in Twitter or social media (check out my twitter @JackieBiz) is first and foremost to understand who your crowd is. Then, engage with them. Reply to their comments, retweet them, etc. As your engagement grows, so will your influence and your followers. This will also increase your Klout (a measurement on how influential you are). I was voted "30 Women to Follow on Twitter" by Forbes.com and "Top 100 Small Business Experts to Follow on Twitter" just because I followed this philosophy... ...hope this helps
Start following people, since you now can, and you'll get real people following you back. The problem I see, however, is this: you will end up having a very distorted ratio of following / followers, because the followers you bought will start disappearing (they most definitely will). So you will end up with something like this: following: 20k / followers 10k. It will come to a point where you will never be able to follow anyone unless you buy more and more fake followers. It's a vicious cycle.
Just be real, worked on twitter as a real person, enjoy it, tweet, retweet, add fresh and interesting posts, be a live person not just a spammy webmaster.
the following/followers ratio is the most important indicator for Twitter. You need at least 1:2 ratio. (if you are following 5000 people, you need 10000 followers). Accounts with 2001 following and 1500 followers are considered as spammers. btw I'm talking about REAL people of course. Not some fiverr bots.
I think I think follow people on regular basis, but also check their profiles that are they real or fake. You must add fresh tweets and do not do activity in bulk like direct messaging etc.
Don't use automatic following and unfollow - against Twitter new terms. Even manually, don't follow and unfollow many, do it in small portions.
