This article really doesn't point anything out expect that Tweeting may help with indexing a web page. I agree tweeting may have this affect but there are a lot of other methods that help with indexing also. From my research Twitter has no effect on actual rankings and therefore provides no real benefit to seo other then indexing.
There have been other methods of indexing but twitter is something new and emphasis on it by search engines has been high.
this is great and for sure, i have had the taste of twitter but havent made much, although i have been trying to figure out a way of getting it to work on traffic conversions not seo aspect though. If i can combine twitter and craigslist for what im working on that d be a huge free traffic source and goldmine. Just havent figured out a way to get it to work best the way i want it to. I really wont wanna promote anything that the users will have to spend their money so thats why it is still hard to figure out how to make more money from twitter since huge percentage of the users there are tech savvy people.

Twitter does affect rankings but just temporarely. It is very good to have your pages indexed quickly especially if you have autoblogs is very good. This is what I do usually: Make an autoblog I use wp robot for that or wp-o-matic. Install wp-to twitter Create an account on twitter for the home page Create an account on twitter for each category of the blog Go to twitterfeed and I use the different feeds categories for the different twitter accounts all pointing to the same website but to different cats.
