I've been receiving in the past week over 50 direct messages every day from people saying thank you for following us and such. The problem is, I've not been following any new people this week or last week and these messages keep coming. How is this possible? Is this a Twitter problem where they are sending me duplicate messages over and over again or these people are intentionally spamming me? By the way, all of the thank you for following me messages are coming from people that I followed maybe a month ago. Anyone else experiencing the same problem?
Are they all coming from the same person? Or are they coming from different people? If they are different people it could be a server problem where they had their automated message and it has been delayed.
They are coming from different people that I followed a month ago or so. Who is delaying the messages, Twitter or the automated third party service?
I am not sure but twitter application using api use can send directed messages to all followers. now day twitter application is too popular.
It could be a limit of direct messages per day of some sort that is causing the delay. Does anyone know what is the current limit on Twitter for direct messages per day?
