I made several accounts on Twitter yesterday and today i find that they have suspended them all even the ones i personally use. The new ones didnt even have any tweets or followers. Is there a chance ill get them back?
close to none, they probably did an IP check and found out you opened up many accounts and thought you were a spammer..
I think you cant get the suspended accounts. They have Blacklisted your IP it seems. Their Help desk sucks. Only bot reply will be done. So its really tough to get the accounts back. Anyway just give a try
I think they only allow so many from the same IP. You may have maxed this out and they canned them all. Or you created them too fast from the same IP. Sometimes a temporary ban is enacted. On a related note.. I have 5 twitter accounts. A while back I had them all suspended. Did not know what I did wrong until I notice they were all connected wit some 3rd party twitter nonsense that I had signed up for. Apparently, all twitter accounts on this service were suspended. Twitter un-suspended them all, and sent a message saying they had goofed and the 3rd party was not violating anything. Right then and there I made the decision to never be associated with anything but twitter. I grow organically now, so to speak. People swear by these 3rd party services, however. Most seem safe, but now I am gun-shy. Stephen C
The main question is, why were you creating more then one account? Were you planning on using them as spam accounts? That is probably what they thought. If you act like a spammer, your going to get banned / blocked like a spammer.
You can email them to lift your ban. Obviously you cant say that you will be using more than 1 account, so say some of them belong to your brother, sister or parents or whoever. Most likely they will reinstate your account. It happened to me as well, and they reinstated my accounts after a 10 day suspension period. Hope everything works out well.
There are consequences to any action. This is one of them. Stick to one account - I don't see why anyone needs more unless they are going to do a little bit of spamming.
If you are going to open up multiple accounts you should do it from different IP's. I am not going to tell you how to do that... but if you do you should be fine. I have several twitter accounts... I match them one to each project I am promoting. Seems to be working for now. While my sites are on the same IP block when I signed up I didn't do it all at one time nor did I use the same IP. You simply got viewed as a spammer.
I agree with what everyone has dais but i didnt make the accounts to "spam" i did them to see how well a website name could promote its self. Ill explain: I make an account called cocacola_co_uk and i wanted to see how many people would follow this name. I did this with a few well known sites but i never got chance to do anything with them as Twitter Suspended them all.
The reason to create more than one twitter is because one has more than one blog, website, niche, etc. If you have 5 niches, you really need 5 twitters to keep tweets on target. If you don't mind tweeting anything and everything, then yeah, I guess there would be no need to have more than one. I know there is a limit to the amount you can have from one ip, however. Stephen C
Twitter allows more than one account - as others have said, if you have more than one site, and in more than one niche, there's no problem with having an account for each. Using the registered name of other businesses - that is a problem. Don't do that, you will get shut down.
You can't go into a place like twitter and start spamming away, it won't work. You need to be subtle and grow your following slowly. I really hope you're not manually finding people to follow, ect. There are plenty of great cheap paid programs to do that for you. Twitter will delete your account if you follow/unfollow too quickly. They call this "churning" while we may better know this as "rinse and repeat". Here is what i do for all my website's twitter accounts: M follow 100 tweeps T follow 100 tweeps W follow 50 tweeps T unfollow oldest tweeps 80(that aren't following back) F unfollow oldest tweeps 80(that aren't following back) S unfollow oldest tweeps 40(that aren't following back) S Rest I use TweetWhistle for all of that so i don't really have to think about it.(see sig for discount). Like i said before, just take it slow and try and do things as natural as possible.
i had 2 twitter accounts suspended, one at a time, about a week ago, then today i was using tweetadder, and 40 (fourty) twitter accounts got suspended, all at once, and when i checked various search terms on twitter, loads and i mean LOADS of sites that used to come up had all disapeared, so i think there is a mass deletion of accounts at twitter, they recently started employing a full time person to deal with all the spam on twitter, and i think today was when he hit the delete button
