Every blog post I write, I add a URL to Twitter via the ShareThis plugin. It brings me okayish traffic. I have 55 followers I believe, so the URL usually gets through to a couple of people.

I've been playing with a twitter adder and today I've constantly had about 30 more ppl browsing the forums all day from twitter.
It's a VERY valuable tool if you know how to use it.. just like everything ;)

I have yet to sign up for twitter. I am always the last one! LOL I have heard mix reviews of people using Twitter. Some say it is great to draw traffic some say it does nothing. I am going to sign up soon and see if helps any.

If you don't want to use it just for traffic, it's a great and easy way to make friends online too. It does have a purpose to everyone. Sometimes it's just different depending on the person. ;)

    here's a little suggestion
you can search for those interested in the same things you are right here
    http://search.twitter.com/
and in most cases, when you befriend someone, they will befriend you too :D

Just recently made the account, only one follower :(

Obviously doesn't produce much traffic, we all just need more followers ;)
how exactly can you get followers? like do we just wait till people randomly visit our tweeters and press follow..seems very unlikely to happen :S or am i missing something here?

I don't think you can generate much traffic from Twitter. I haven't really been able to yet :(
