Twitter and Facebook costing economy £14bn a year

    This really doesn’t surprise me, the amount of time spent on these social networking sites during working hours. I know many companies have even banned these from their computers meaning that employees can’t access them. Although this is impossible in some industries, such as marketing where you need to have access for these sites for work purposes.

    Several reports/studies about this where already made in several countries and yes the numbers are stunning, same thing with instant messaging, youtube, etc,etc

    1) wow, but it help economy grow too, because people will buy phone such as i phone, black Barry rather than simple cheap phone.
    2) Business people will be able to increase sale (better for economy) using social media.
    3) People will buy data plan (internet service in the phone) to use facebook that is better for economy too.
    4) People used to sit in home or office and chat now they get out do shopping while they chat on Facebook and twitter so economy will get better.

    everything in this world has positive and negative, it just depend on people how they are thinking.

    agreed but tbh for general purposes ive gotten bored of facebook now and twitter is mainly for business's or people trying to promote themselves....in my opinion
